Cindy’s roles as intern pastor include: Organizing or supporting women’s special events, overseeing Sunday morning ministries in an administrative capacity, mentoring women leaders as God leads and serving and supporting in short term projects as needed.
Family stats: Husband Gavin, two children, Ian age 12 and Emma age 9.
Education: Attended University of Texas at Arlington, and Covenant Bible Seminary in Lakewood Washington. Cindy is continuing to pursue her education.
How she became a Christian: Cindy became a Christian at a young age at a Baptist revival in Dallas, Texas. Cindy went her own way for several years then re-committed her life to God in her mid 20's.
How she came to be at the Federal Way Vineyard: Approxately 10 years ago she and her husband went through the yellow pages, cut out the names of several churches and had their son draw the names on Sunday morning. When they walked through the door of the Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Federal Way they immediately felt God’s love and knew they were home.
The best thing about knowing God: Knowing His unconditional love, growing as a person, and seeing the freedom God's love brings to people’s lives.
Where she works: Her family owns a wholesale bakery in Tacoma. Cindy also had a 15 year career with Northwest Airlines which ended after September 11, 2001.
What she would like to say to those considering visiting the Vineyard:
"Come as you are!"
