A Time to Build: Lessons from the Life of Nehemiah
On Jan. 6th. we start a New Year sermon series through the book of Nehemiah.
Nehemiah is one of the great characters of the Old Testament, but perhaps not as well-known as some others.
He was a normal, everyday, guy who was living a high-class life. But his life is disrupted when he develops a passionate heart for God’s people. The story comes alive as Nehemiah steps out with courageous faith and allows God to use him to change the world he lives in.
Does God have a similar purpose for you?
If you give yourself to Him, He will plant a seed inside you that will grow into a holy discontent – an issue in your life that wrecks you – and you will just have to be a part of it. If you let God have your whole heart, He will mess with your life, and like Nehemiah, He will use you to impact the world in ways you could never imagine.
I invite you to join me (Pastor Gary) as we journey through the Life of Nehemiah and discover the lessons that the Lord teaches Him and wants to teach us as well.

All are welcome to attend. Please consider carpooling since the venue is a distance away for many of you.
We are currently collecting the items for the Blessing Bags, as well as new and gently used winter coats, hats, gloves and socks. There will be a box in the entry way every Sunday to collect these items. Thank you for your ongoing donations to this vital ministry.
Come and join us as we go out into the streets to bless those in need with bags full of food and survival items and a list of resources for those that are looking for more help. With each person we encounter we share the love of God and offer prayer and encouragement. All are welcome to participate! Stay tuned for the next outreach date, which will be posted here soon!
OCC is one of our favorite international outreaches because it is such an effective and life-giving form of evangelism to children . Every year at this time, we ask you to pack one or more shoe boxes with gifts for children in need around the world. Each box is an opportunity for a boy or girl to experience the love of God in a tangible way and hear the Gospel. It’s simple, it’s fun, and it works! Thank you to everyone who participated this year by packing a shoe box or two.
Over 40 Shoe boxes were delivered to an OCC pick up location and we will let you know soon to which country our boxes are headed.
